Organic Argan Oil is sourced from the kernel or seed of the fruit of the argan tree exclusively in south-west Morocco where the argan tree is known as their “tree of life”. In 2014 the unique area where these trees grow was designated as a UNESCO site to preserve the tradition of the people who live there. The argan trees in SW Morocco provide a true barrier to the growing desert and can live up to two hundred years. There is also a culinary form of organic argan oil, often made after the nuts are roasted.

Characteristics

Organic Argan Oil, Virgin is rich in oleic acid, a very emollient fatty acid. It supports the skin to make it soft and more radiant. Argan Oil also contains high levels of linoleic acid (Omega6), a fatty acid that quickly absorbs into the skin to provide essential nutrients. Virgin Argan Oil is a highly beneficial oil containing fatty acids, phenolic acid, squalene, and is unusually high in mixed tocopherols.
