Organic Argan Oil, Deodorized

This beautiful tree blooms in April and by July or August, the fruit is gathered (skin intact) by the local women employed by the co-op. After the fruit is gathered, it is taken back to the facility where it is then dried out for several weeks. When the fruit is ready, the Moroccan ladies crack the pits with two stones. They can produce roughly 6-7 kilos of argan a week. Then, the natural and solvent-free extracted kernels are mechanically pressed and filtered with natural charcoal as their deodorizing means.

Organic argan oil is made from raw, unroasted pits, so this oil has all the beneficial active constituents such as the fatty acids, phenolic acid, and squalene and is unusually high in tocopherols (Vitamin E). Argan has been used throughout the Mediterranean for thousands of years as a beauty aid.
