Natural Alpha Bisabol is famous for it's anti-inflammatory and calming effects. While historically it came from chamomile and then was sourced from synthetics, this natural version is found and extracted from the wood of the Caeia Trees found in Brazil. It is produced using steam distillation and then further mechanically processed to remove terpenes. This is not a CITES tree and they are sustainably managed.

Alpha Bisabol (the INCI is Bisabolol) is a natural active that enhances any formula looking to add a soothing characteristic to the finished formula. Used at very low levels, less than 1.0%, this material is a powerful tool. This is one of the few natural Bisabolols available, most of them are made from petroleum derivatives.
