The apricot tree is a fruit-bearing tree from the Rosaceae family. Organic Apricot Kernel Oil is made by pressing the kernels found in the seed shells. History indicates that the apricot tree came from Armenia, per its scientific name, Prunus armeniaca. The word apricot is derived from an Arabic term, albarquq, meaning “early”, since the apricot tree blooms very early in the spring. Organic Apricot Kernel Oil is a lovely addition to any formula.
